The visual image is powerful. It is also essential to the work that non-profit agencies do, both in the United States and around the world. Since 1996 I have traveled to scores of developing countries and seen the effects of droughts and floods, poverty and illness, war and conflict. But I have also seen the impact of relief and development programs in diminishing the suffering brought on by such crises. Some of my experiences, and the people I met along the way, are captured in this web site.
