The visual image is powerful. It is also essential to the work that non-profit agencies do, both in the United States and around the world. During more than 12 years as a writer and photographer working with non-profit agencies, I have traveled to more than 55 countries, and seen the effects of droughts and floods, poverty and illness on those living in developing countries. But I have also seen the impact of relief and development programs in diminishing the suffering brought on by such crises. Some of my experiences, and the people I met along the way, are captured in this web site.
