Despite the enormous amount of attention AIDS has garnered in the last 15 or so years, I believe people in the developed world still do not really grasp the impact that HIV is having in many of the world’s poorest countries. Many of my work trips are to visit projects aimed at helping those affected by HIV – and still the virus spreads out of control.
